In honor of Cinco de Mayo, I’m sharing one of my favorite houses in Mexico — El Mirador House. Located in Valle de Bravo, a popular vacation spot just two hours southwest of Mexico City, El Mirador is a 5,000 square foot home by CC Arquitectos.

THE EQUIPALE CHAIR

Being back in Mexico I’m reminded of my long-time affection for the Equipale chair. It’s funky yet comfortable and when the leather fades a bit — looks incredible. Now, with the Ace Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles giving it so much attention, as well as places like Venice Beach and other cities along the California Coast, it’s had a rebirth and I’ve never seen it look so good! Below, are some gorgeous ideas on how to use this very cozy & versatile chair.
