I love Ellen DeGeneres’s new lighting collection. Crafted by Generation Lighting and influenced by some of Ellen’s favorite artists, the collection is inspired by her own treasured pieces throughout her homes. I love the relaxed style of the collection which works beautifully with many different styles —  from rustic to mid-century.

A VILLA IN SANTA BARBARA

Perched on a hilltop overlooking the Pacific Ocean this beautiful villa was built in the 30’s by Wallace Frost after spending a decade in Italy. Owned by Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, I absolutely love the way they decorated this gorgeous villa. I’ll be honest, I’m a little obsessed with this home.

I love this porch, and the staghorn fern on the wall is incredible!

When Ellen talks about why she loves this home in her book, Ellen DeGeneres Home, she says, “… I think it’s because the house is always surprising. It reveals itself to you in new ways every day. FARMHOUSE CHIC

If you’re a fan of Fixer Upper on HGTV, you know what I’m talking about when I say ‘Farmhouse Chic’. We can thank Ms. Joanna Gaines for bringing style back to the farmhouse! She’s put Waco on the map and has made Waco way cool. She knows how to do more than mix and match pillows — she puts some gorgeous houses together and inspires me to keep focused.

I have to admit that this is one of my favorite “looks” at the moment. It’s clean, fresh and has a modern feel that isn’t too cold. With a bit of white paint and some pretty antiques, a simple structure can become your very own gorgeous art gallery.
