Don Totu Dimora Storica is an 18th century palazzo turned six bedroom B&B in Puglia. I love how the texture and color of the exterior walls acts as the perfect backdrop for the different varieties of cactus, lavender and other plant life. Super gorgeous and inspiring!

1 ADD A NEW RUG

Adding a runner or area rug (depending on the size of your kitchen) can add gorgeous color and texture to your kitchen.
2. CHANGE OUT YOUR HARDWARE

I like to think of cabinet hardware as the jewels of your kitchen. Match the hardware to the finish of your light fixture or use it as a bold accent — whatever the case, it is an easy way to update your kitchen.
3. ADD NEW STOOLS

Replacing your stools is an easy and very effective way to add an accent color to your kitchen. They can easily add warmth to an all white kitchen, as in the photo above, or if you want more texture in your kitchen try a natural fiber stool.
4. REPLACE LIGHTING

Replacing (or adding pendants) is a great way to not only update your kitchen but add drama as well. I love these oversized pendants above.
5. PAINT, PAINT, PAINT

Whether you just paint your island or your entire kitchen, a new paint color can completely change the feel of your kitchen + make the biggest impact.
Happy Monday!

There aren’t many times when I pause during a meal and wish time would stand still; when the stars align and you take note of everything. The moment is perfect. This is how I felt when I experienced lunch in the mountains of Majorca. Surrounded by hundred year old olive trees, with views of the countryside, I enjoyed typical Majorcan food with family and friends…perfection.

My daughter walking Poncho up the mountain.

One of the very old and beautiful olive trees.

Love the stone wall and gate!

The view

Flavored salts

The fireplace in the old shepherd’s hut where the food was prepared.
I want one of these!

My sister and I with the man responsible for putting together all this wonderful food.

The famous Majorcan dessert, Ensaimada.

Cheers to a great day!
